Deputy Chief for Administration - Kimberly J. Tully


 


Education/Training:

Deputy Chief Tully has a Master of Science Degree in Special Education and Literacy from the University at Albany as well as a Bachelor of Arts from John Jay University, where she graduated Cum Laude.

She is a graduate of the Schenectady County Humane Law Enforcement Academy andhas had to complete a course to obtain her current position, much like the other peace officers in the Schenectady County SPCA.  Deputy Chief Tully is trained in the defensive use of firearms, the expandable baton and OC spray.  She has completed classroom training in penal law and the criminal proceedings of New York State.  Deputy Chief Tully has also been trained in the basic and advanced techniques of animal cruelty investigation and has received instruction on animal control. 


Awards:

Deputy Chief Tully is the first female law enforcement officer to graduate from the Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement Academy and is certified by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. 


Outside Activities:

She spends much of her time at home with her son, Kevin.

     Tully is very involved in her community. She has served as a volunteer at Ground Zero after the September 11, 2001 attacks, where she worked with rescue animals and provided general humane education.


Animals Currently Owned:

Deputy Chief Tully is the proud owner of a dog named Oslo. 


Specialty:

Deputy Chief Tully is in charge of the administration for the organization. She is also available to provide humane education.
