Education/Training:
Senior Peace Officer/Investigator Randy Cochrane is a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and holds a vocational degree in Autobody Repair. He has studied Criminal Justice at Schenectady County Community College.
Along with his fellow peace officers Cochrane has been trained in animal control and the basic and advanced techniques for animal cruelty detection. He also received classroom training in New York State penal law and criminal proceedings. He is certified to carry a firearm, expandable baton and OC spray.
Awards:
Senior Peace Officer/Investigator Cochrane received a fire training certificate from the State of New York for Firefighter One, having completed 78 hours of training as an interior firefighter.
Outside Activities:
Cochrane is a volunteer firefighter for a local fire company. He thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and hiking with his friends and wife. He is a skilled woodworker and enjoys bike riding as well.
Animals Currently Owned:
Cochrane and his wife are the proud owners of a number of animals. They have Tanner, a nine-year-old dog, a four-year-old dog named Bandit, and a shy eight-year-old cat named Sassy.
